5 key things that were said in the State of the Nation address

President Akufo-Addo was in Parliament to present the 2019 SONA In his address, he highlighted what his government has been able to achieve so far, their challenges and the projects they have in the pipeline, that are yet to be rolled out.  YEN.com.gh has however noted some key things the president talked about. These areas centre on different sectors of his government.  1. 62nd Independence anniversary celebrations The president in his address said, as part of efforts to reinforce the unity that recently was established in the Dagbon state, the celebration of independence would be moved to the Northern Regional capital.  This is the first time the celebrations have been moved out of Accra.  2. Solar Panels   The president also said the Jubilee House from August 2019, would be powered by solar energy as an example to others. We will continue to die for the NDC - Sister of man shot at party office

Abdul Wasihu Iddrisu was shot by pro-NDC vigilante group the 'Hawks' According to the family, they remain resolute in their love for the party and will continue to give their all to the party whether in good or bad times.  Speaking to Accra based Kasapa FM, Abiba Iddrisu, sister of the late Abdul Wasihu Iddrisu said though it is sad losing her dear brother, she believes that Abdul Wasihu Iddrisu died at the right time appointed for him to leave this earth.  “We are not disappointed in the NDC party, as I said earlier on, Abdul Wasihu Iddrisu’s time to die was up and he died and we have no problem with that as a family.  Just as Abdul Wasihu Iddrisu died because of his love for the NDC, his late father also died at a rally organized for John Mahama.  “So if our confidence in the NDC could ever wane, it would have been the time that our dear mother died.
