K.P Boateng viciously attacks German newspaper Bild over Barcelona training no-show report

Kevin-Prince Boateng  Kevin-Prince Boateng has launched a fierce attack on German newspaper Bild following a publication that the Ghana forward failed to show up for Barcelona voluntary training session during the international break. Barcelona coach Ernesto Valverde handed his non-internationals a two-day holiday but invited but handed those on the fringes an opportunity to turn up for training anyway - but according to the renowned German newspaper. the Boateng failed to show up at the club's Cuidad Deportiva last Thursday. Boateng was among four Barcelona first team stars who did not go on international duty after he was once again left out of Ghana's squad for the final 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Kenya. Wa All Stars name changed to Stallion FC after takeover by ex-Ghana captain

Stallions FC Former Ghana captain John Paintsil has disclosed that the new owners of Wa All Stars have officially changed the club's name to Stallions FC.  The club is widely believed to have been sold by its former owner Kwesi Nyantakyi, who was handed a lifetime ban by FIFA from all football related activities over his involvement in the Anas Number 12 expose - which exposed rot in Ghana football.  Paintsil, who together with his partners purchased the Wa-based outfit late last month, has confirmed the club's new name.  "My team of investors and I are now the new owners of Stallions FC previously called Wa All Stars," a statement signed by John Paintsil. According to the man who identified himself as Emma, the lady dumped him after he took care of her from senior high school to university level. Emma who owns a shop disclosed that after the lady completed university, he used his connections to get her a job with a bank. AG ‘hot’ for paying GHc67m judgement debt without Cabinet’s approval

Gloria Akufo The Attorney General’s Department (AG) has come under fire for paying over Ghc 67 million to a firm – Construction Pioneers as judgement debt without Cabinet’s approval. In line with government’s attempt to sanitize judgment debts payment system, a debt exceeding GHc 10 million cannot be paid without Cabinet’s prior authorization. The Attorney General however with the regulations may authorize the payment if it is below the threshold. But at Tuesday’s Public Accounts Committee sitting, the Auditor General observed in his 2016 Report that Construction Pioneers were paid the monies which exceeded the threshold without the requisite consent. Per the Auditor General’s 2016 report, “a review of the bank statement of the Ministry disclosed that a payment of GHc67,380,718.20 (direct debit) was made to Construction Pioneers as judgement debt on behalf of the state without any reference to Cabinet.” The Ministry, according to the report, could not provide any...

Minister advice parents to take advantage of free SHS

Free SHS  The Volta Regional Minister, Dr Archibald Letsa, has asked parents to take advantage of the free senior high school (SHS) programme to keep their children in school to make them responsible citizens in future. He said with the successful roll out of the policy, there was no excuse for any Ghanaian child to be denied education at least up to the SHS level. Dr Letsa also advised parents to encourage their children to take up technical and vocational education and training (TVET) courses to improve on the country’s skilled manpower base. Launch This was contained in a speech delivered on behalf of the minister at the launch of the Diamond Jubilee of the Kadjebi Asato SHS (KASEC) in Accra last Saturday. Plane forced to turn around after mother forgets baby at Airport

A Turn around  Plane A Saudia plane returned to the airport after taking off as a passenger on board had forgotten her baby at the terminal. According to  Gulf News , the Saudi flight from Jeddah was said to be on its way to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, when the woman realised she was missing her child and alerted cabin crew. The pilot then had to request permission to return to Jeddah from baffled air traffic controllers, after he learnt a passenger had forgotten her child in the airport waiting area. Former NDC Chairman, Dr Kwabena Adjei, is Dead

Dr. Kwabena Adjei died three days after marking his 76th birthday A former National Chairman of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Dr. Kwabena Adjei, has passed.  He died Tuesday morning at the Greater Accra Regional Hospital, formerly Ridge hospital, a highly placed source at the party confirmed to myjoyonline.com.  The politician who was the chairman when the NDC won power in 2008 had been battling with a protracted sickness first reported in the media in August 2015.  He died three days after marking his 76th birthday on March 9, 2019.  Dr. Adjei graduated with a PhD (Research Methods and Statistics in Psychology) from the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, Scotland, U.K in 1973.  He ventured into politics in 1978, getting elected as a Council Mmember of the Jasikan District Council in the Volta region.  The Psychology lecturer’s political decline began after 2014 after he lost his National Chairmanship post to Kofi Portuphy. ...
