father of comedy - Bob Okala is dead Brytfmonline.com can confirm that Ghanaian Comedian Samuel Kwadwo Boaben a.k.a Bishop Bob Okala has died. Bishop Bob Okala died in the early hours of Sunday, March 13, 2016, at the Koforidua Regional Hospital. Bishop Bob Okala, before his death did a live performance at the Koforidua Jackson Park, which was organized by the management of Joy Industries Limited, producers of Joy Dadi Bitters. Bob Okala collapsed immediately after performing on stage during an event organized by Joy Industries Limited and died shortly after being rushed to the hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival. Speaking to one of the organizers of the event, Mr. N. Kwaku Solomon, said the late Bishop Bob Okala was not part of the artiste line-up for the show. He said the organizers initially tried all that they could to stop him after finding out that the late Bob Okala was not all that fit to perform but he persuaded them hence allowing him to perform due to the cordial relationship between him and the organizers. His car he came to the event grounds in at the Jackson Park The late Bob Okala was escorted to the event by a young man believed to be his family member. He died at the aged of 59.
